Jakub Urbaniak is of Polish origin and came to South Africa in 2010 from France where he completed his doctoral studies. He is a research fellow at the Faculty of Theology and Religion, University of the Free State, and an Associate Professor in Theology, Philosophy of Religion and Ethics at St Augustine College, a Catholic University in Johannesburg. His current research focuses on the intersection of decolonisation and Christianity, particularly in the context of South African #MustFall movement and African religiosity.
