Rev Mike Ribbens is the regional leader of Resonate Global Mission in Eastern and Southern Africa and a Street Psalms Senior Fellow. He holds a M.Div. from Calvin Theological Seminary in Grand Rapids, Michigan and has been serving with Resonate since 2007 in Abuja, Nigeria and the Gauteng City-Region of South Africa. He currently is a PhD candidate in Practical Theology at the University of Pretoria. He is journeying with and doing theology with urban communities of hope and struggle primarily through the Tshwane Leadership Foundation and Institute for Urban Ministry. The community-based urban praxis and participatory action research methodologies foster innovative expressions of transforming perspective, presence and practice. His research interest is concerned with the ‘good city’ and how faith-based organisations animate the ‘good city’ in the Gauteng City-Region.
